Abstract– Wind design analysis is a crucial aspect of engineering, particularly in the fields of civil, mechanical, and aerospace engineering. This study explores the application of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) in the analysis and optimisation of wind effects on structures. CFD, a branch of fluid mechanics that uses numerical analysis and algorithms to solve and analyse problems involving fluid flows, provides detailed insights into the behaviour of wind around various structures. The primary objective of this analysis is to evaluate the aerodynamic performance and structural integrity of buildings, bridges, and other infrastructures under different wind conditions. Using CFD simulations, we can predict airflow patterns, pressure distribution, and potential wind-induced forces and moments on structures. These simulations help in identifying critical areas that may require design modifications to enhance stability and reduce wind-induced vibrations and noise.
